Historical Society Program – Tales of New England Life: Four Stories by Alice Brown

Pittsfield Historical Society is hosting Tales of New England Life: Four Stories by Alice Brown.

Alice Brown, born in 1857, was known for her short stories depicting the simplicity and goodness of country life. The Pontine Theater has selected 4 tales to bring to life on stage: Farmer’s Eli’s Vacation (1895), Gardener Jim (1910), A Poetess in Spring (1910), and The Flat Iron Lot (1899). This program, hosted by the Pittsfield Historical Society, will be Wednesday, June 12, 7:00 p.m.at the Pittsfield Community Center, 74 Main Street. The program is free and open to the public.
